Our Men's Group is a great bunch of guys who meet every month, timetable allowing, on a Friday. They look at stuff men face in a rapidly changing, pressured and competitive world and how to translate 'Sunday' into everyday life. It happens on a Friday at 8.00pm at the Nightingale Pub in Langford. All men are welcome, even those who don't regularly attend services at St Edburg's, and it's a great chance to relax with friends and take a step back to talk about life and ask questions.
For more info, email Captain John.
There a number of House Groups which meet during the week. The simplest way to find out which might suit you the best is to turn up to a few and decide on which one you like. They normally meet on the every other week or so.
They are a fellowship group, and their main activity is to read, discuss and learn about particular books or sections of the Bible.
Recently, some of our groups have spent a long period looking at the life and letters of St Paul and then the Old Testament Books of Ezra and Nehemiah.
For the Thursday night Bible study group contact Capt John Bentley 07852976630
For more info on one of the other groups, contact Victor Puddick (01869 250732) or Colin Cockshaw (01869 249555).
Everyone is very welcome to attend!
Knit and Knatter meet every Monday in St Edburg's Church between 10am - 12pm. We knit and crochet, and have a chat and a cup of tea and a biscuit. Sometimes we work on our own projects, but we also have donated wool and patterns which we use to knit items for charities; for example cardigans, hats and blankets for babies in Africa. We also sell some knitted items for church funds, and last year we decorated a tree entirely in knitted items for the Christmas Tree Festival. You don't have to knit to join us, you can just natter!
