Emmanuel Church, Bicester

Emmanuel Church started in December 2002 and was originally a church planted from St. Aldate's and St. Ebbe's in Oxford. It is part of the Church of England and is now its own parish within the town of Bicester.

Emmanuel Church is what is known as a 'Fresh Expressions' Church - allowed to be different from traditional church. When it started we met to worship in Bure Park School in December 2012 we moved into our building, we have grown from an initial congregation of 25 people to around 200 including 75 children.

It is a charismatic, evangelical, Anglican church. Together, its congregation are learning to focus on God in our daily lives, are aiming to be a focal point in our community and are supporting those serving those in need both locally and in other countries.
