St. Edburg’s Christmas Tree Festival

6th - 8th December 2019

Every year St. Edburg’s welcomes the community into the church for the Christmas Tree Festival.  Our beautiful medieval church becomes a forest of eighty decorated trees for three days. Live music is performed throughout by local musicians, a very popular cafe  runs for the whole weekend and families are encouraged to take part in a tree hunt, with chocolates as a reward at the end.  Visitors have the opportunity to hang prayers and thoughts on the Prayer and Memorial Trees provided by the church. The Festival closes with “Carols in the Trees” on the Sunday night. The trees are sponsored and decorated by community groups and local businesses and can either be taken away at the end of the event or left to be sold.
